‘JR’ Jones has been in charge of facilities maintenance and marine mechanics at KML since January 2016. Aside from keeping everything up and running around the Lab with a can-do attitude, he is a man of many talents. He served in the US Navy and then continued on for his degree at the University of Georgia. While there, he co-authored “The University of Georgia’s Diving Safety Program” dive manual with Dr. James Porter and was Underwater Videographer for the UGA Coral Reef Research Program. In his spare time, JR is a PADI Dive Instructor and Technical NITROX Diver and holds his USCG Merchant Mariner Credential for OUPV operator.
